This website is entirely dependent on the data collected by scores of dedicated PSSS volunteers throughout Puget Sound. On the first Saturday of the month from October through April, surveyors tirelessly gather data on seabirds despite the often less-than-ideal Pacific Northwest winter weather. The program is managed by the Seattle Audubon Science Manager and overseen by an advisory committee of scientists from governmental agencies and universities. The Puget Sound Seabird Survey is unique and wouldn?t exist without the efforts of these crucial volunteers.

The graphic layout and user interface of this website was designed by Adam Sedgley with very helpful input from Dan Roscoe and Peter Hodum. Alan Humphrey skillfully built both the interface and underlying database. Alan also built BirdWeb and SoundtoSage.
